Detailed rules
Here are some specific situation rules where you might find it hard to agree on, based on the original rules provided in the game. We update this detailed situation list regularly so there are less and less chances you'll argue playing Yigo.
🔵 Until the end of your turn you are still able to change any of the cards you have already put down.
🔵 You cannot remove a completed word with a NEW WORD action card, as you can do so without the action card.
🔵 If one player gets a penalty for a word that does not exist, the game is over and he/she gets 50 points as a penalty. Other players don’t get any points in that game.
🔵 When using the SWITCH A LETTER action card, you can’t switch a letter with ANY LETTER action card, as you would be using two action cards in one turn.
🔵 If the word is already completed on the turn before yours and it contains the ANY LETTER action card, you can collect the ANY LETTER action card if you have the right letter for it and still close the word after that and start a new word.
🔵 After using an action card you still need to keep at least one card in your hand at the end of the turn as you cannot win by playing an action card on your last turn.
🔵 You cannot remove a letter with a REMOVE A LETTER action card and then replace it with the same letter.
🔵 When you complete a word, it’s the next player’s turn-” You can still add letters to other words, if there are any on the table”. The next player can continue and make a longer word or choose to remove the completed word.
🔵 If a player is taking too long to make a move, you can call time and turn the sand timer. He/she will have 15 seconds to make a move or forfeit the turn. “If a player didn't draw a card during that turn, he/she has to draw it before forfeiting the turn”
